ABOUT ABOUT

Re-enactors Lynn Otto and Don Cramer will offer a reflection on the origins, events, and impact of the French and Indian War, as well as a discussion of the uniforms, weapons, and life of a soldier in this conflict.  England and France have a long history of military conflict in their respective quests for global influence. In the middle of the 18th century, their rivalry spilled into North America in a conflict that is known as the Seven Year’s war, or French and Indian War. Fort Hunter was part of a line of defense and a supply depot at this time.
